FALL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Occoneechee Golf Club is currently accepting applications for several positions for Fall.

If you know a local college student, if you are thinking about a career change, or if you are recently retired and looking for a way to earn some free golf, please contact the Pro Shop at 919-732-3435. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with prior employment experience and work references available.

Weekend/Holiday availability is required for each of the positions listed below.

Part Time Pro Shop Staff – Duties Include, but are not limited to:

NOTE Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Customer Service/Computer Cash Register – This includes answering phones, making starting times, checking golfers in, and selling snacks and merchandise.
• Driving Range Operation and Maintenance – This includes, but is not limited to operating machinery to Collect balls from the driving range, washing and restocking range balls and baskets
• Light Golf Cart maintenance to include staging, fueling, washing and storing at the end of the day
• Periodic refreshing of water on course and trash/recycle collection

Part Time Mowing and Weekend Course Setup – Duties include, but are not limited to:

NOTE Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform extended physical activity in a variety of conditions

• Course Setup (particularly on Weekends) – This may involve cutting cups to change flag positions, re-setting tee markers, blowing and raking bunkers, or a combination of the above.
• Mowing and Blowing. This may include Mowing Greens on weekends or blowing leaves from playing areas with a tractor mounted blower or backpack blower
• Other duties as required by staffing or weather

Full Time Grounds Keeping/Maintenance Labor – Duties include, but are not limited to:

NOTE Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform extended physical activity in a variety of conditions

• All items from Part Time description above
• Weedeating/Tree Work
• Equipment operation such as tractors, zero turn mowers, specialty mowers, gators, greens rollers, mulchers, debris blowers, weedeaters, chain saws, and hand tools. (This is not an exhaustive list)
• Storm cleanup
• Pro Shop assistance with carts and driving range when required
• Minor mechanic work
• Minor construction or plumbing work

Each of these positions will remain open until filled and there may be multiple opportunities available for each position.
