Mountain Charity Tourney Details

The following is a message from Occoneechee Member and Tournament Organizer Sam Dyer.

Thank you for signing up for our tournament!

Below is an update on the details of the event:

 Cost:

o $35 registration fee and $15 cart fee. (Cart Fees collected will also be donated.)

o 100% of net proceeds will be donated to hurricane relief efforts.

o Our goal is to raise $15,000+ from the tournament, sponsorships, and donations, so please consider riding and bringing some extra cash for the games.

o Warm up balls are included in your registration fees. (Driving Range will be available depending on Thursday’s rain totals)

 This will be a Shotgun Start shotgun start at 10:00AM, please be at Occoneechee no later than 9:00 am to register, warm up. Travel to assigned holes will begin at 9:50.

 Boxed lunches will be provided by a generous donation from a local Jersey Mikes owner.

 SWAG bags will be given to every registered golfer with a variety of goodies.

 Format:

o Two-person scramble in foursome groups.

o The top three low scores will get first, second and third place prizes.

 Ties will be determined in a ‘playoff’ by comparing the best scores on course handicapped holes, #1-18.

o Twelve holes will include an ‘A’ and ‘B’ group; the other six holes will have just one group (we have 120 golfers registered!!).

o Max score on any hole is double bogey.

o Play your next shot within one club length of the spot where the ball rests.

 If you are in the rough the one club drop should stay in the rough. If you are in a trap your one club length should stay in the trap. Etc.

 Other on course games/prizes:

o Mulligans for sale at registration. $5 each, no limit on how many you can buy. If you buy it, you can use it. Please note it is not meant to be used as a team mulligan.

 Each Mulligan may only be used once.

 Mulligans cannot be used for the other on-course games EXCEPT beat the pros.

 If you are excluding yourself from the other game(s) and you just want to use the Mulligan for the score on that hole, that is ok.

o Purchase a team entry to beat the pros (combined best score of Jesse and Rowan),

 $10 team entry.

 Prize payout TBD based on how much we collect for this game.

 Mulligans (purchased separately) COUNT toward your score in this game.

o Buy a chance at closest to the pin #3, # 8, #10, #16.

 $10 per player entry fee gets you a chance at all four.

 No mulligans for this game.

 You must validate the shot with a par-no gimmes please.

 Prizes awarded for each winner.

o Buy a chance at a hole in one on #10.

 Mulligans do not count in this game.

 $10 entry gets one player one shot at it (your $10 CTP entry for #10 does not include this game).

Witnessed and confirmed winner(s) get(s) a fully paid 2025 Annual membership at Occoneechee Golf Club. (All Terms, Conditions, Responsibilities, and Benefits of this Membership will apply. There is no Cash Value or remainder value for this prize should the winner winner decline the membership. This prize is non transferrable and will be valid from November 15, 2024 to January 31, 2026.)

o Putting contest

 Limit one chance per player (no Mulligans)

 No practice putting on the practice green after the scramble has started. You get one shot.

 $10 entry per player.

 We will do a putt off for ties.

 You will play this game when you make the turn after #9.

 If you start on #10 play it before you tee off.
